Summary

and supporting details.
3. It’s the shortest

a critical analysis some questions might be taken into consideration:
1. Does the author assume that the reader has certain background
information?
2. Does he have the necessary expertise to write the
book?
3. Does the book relate to other sources on the same
topic?
4. Does the author use appropriate academic terminology?
5. Does he present a clear thesis?
6. Does he contribute anything new to the field?
7. Can you determine to whom it was written? (the audience)
